Birds of Morni: Rose-ringed Parakeet

Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) about a foot and a half in length, the males sport a red ring around the neck. A noisy and gregarious bird that has successfully adapted to urbanisation and loss of habitat. they feed on buds, fruits, vegetables, nuts, berries and seeds and are a menace to orchards and can learn to mimic human voice and is popular as a pet.
